The following files have been used in one way or another as part of the
MVHS Earthquake Simulation. Each file can be copied as text from your web
browser and then run as a program in MatLab. In each case, a description
of the expected data file or a sample data file is supplied.
- Seismogram plotting program for Fall 96 data
- Distance Calculation Program - Given a set
of longitudes and latitudes, calculates the distances between epicenter
and measuring sites and the amplitude received by each site. Outputs info
to a data file.
- Data Generation Program - Reads data file
from distance calculation program and generates the amplitude - time data
for each site. Creates 3 files per site and outputs to three data files.
- Maryland Simulation Plotting Program -
Plots an outline of the state, the participating sites, circles around
three to help the user locate the epicenter
- These are files that were used in the development of the files above. They may
be of more general use than the others.
