Using the RiverWeb Map
The main map page illustrates the RiverWeb watershed - the setting for the Watershed Quality Simulator. Water
quality monitoring stations are located throughout the watershed. Station
7 is located at the river outlet. Water quality sampled here reflects the
combined quality of the streams making up the subwatersheds. Monitoring
stations 0-6 are located so that water quality at each
subwatershed outlet may be sampled.
What distinct contributions do the land uses in the
Pristine
Forest (0), Forest with Lumbering (1), Agricultural Area (2), Residential Area (3)
Commercial and Industrial Area (4), Wetlands (5) and Urban Area (6) make
to the water quality measured at Station 7?
All stations can be accessed by clicking on their number on the map. You can
return to the map at any point by clicking on the "Display Map" at the lower left hand corner
of the station comparison screen (coming up).
Now click the "Pristine Forest" link on the northwest
river bank on the map (RiverWeb frame) to access the station comparison screen for Station 0. Then click on "Using the RiverWeb Station Displays: Station 0" above (menu frame).
