Substation 0 Nitrogen

Note that nitrogen concentration is fairly constant. What do you note about precipitation when the nitrogen concentration changes? How does concentration change?

In this situation, the amount of water running off into channels increases more than the amount of nitrogen, so concentration actually goes down. Nitrogen load would go up.

Why does it take such a large change in precipitation before there is a change in runoff? What differences in the pristine forest from other subwatersheds affects the amount of runoff?

Also note that since Station 0 measures indicators from streams draining pristine forest, improvements cannot be made to this station. Now we'll change the display by using the upper pull down menu in the left column to select phosphorus.
